The requirements have changed for oil and fat products, milk and dairy products, meat and meat products, fish and fish products, poultry meat and its processed products, the World of NAN reports with reference to the EEC.

The amendments define maximum permissible quantitative residue levels for 75 veterinary medicinal products (pharmacologically active substances and their metabolites) in both unprocessed and processed food products of animal origin registered in the countries of the Union.

In addition, there are requirements for the control of residues of veterinary drugs not named in the technical regulations and (or) not registered in the territories of the Member States, which is especially relevant for imported products.

A transitional period has been established for gradual preparation of producers. Until 10 January 2026, the Union allows its production and release in accordance with the mandatory requirements previously established by the mentioned technical regulations. At the same time, circulation of such products in the EAEU market is possible during the shelf life established by the manufacturer.
