Greenhouse complex opened in Atyrau region

Industrial greenhouse complex was launched in rural district Akzhayik Makhambet district of Atyrau region. The capacity is up to 1,600 tons of products, and the area was four hectares, reports World of NAN.

"For the first time a unique greenhouse complex opens in our region. The project will benefit not only the residents of Makhambet district, it is important for the entire agricultural sector of our region. In addition, it creates new jobs. Our residents have the opportunity to work on the most modern equipment", - said Serik Shapkenov, Akim of the region, at the opening ceremony.

According to the press service of the regional akim, the cost of the project implemented by the farm "Zhumagaliyeva N.M." is more than 3 billion tenge.

The complex, which consists of three blocks, has launched only one. Construction work on the others will begin in the future. Of the more than 60 employees working in the greenhouse, more than 40 are local residents.

"The capacity is 900 tons of tomatoes and 700 tons of cucumbers per year. The daily yield of tomatoes is 6 tons, cucumbers 7 tons. In 9 months from each bush is planned to receive 18 kg of harvest per day," - reported in the akimat.

The work of the complex is automated. Thanks to the drip irrigation system, each plant receives the necessary moisture and fertilizer. In the future it is planned to increase the area of greenhouse complex to 16 hectares. There are plans to produce not only vegetables, but also domestic animals, poultry and fish.
