Greenhouses, poultry farm, slaughterhouse to be opened in Zhezkazgan region

Modern greenhouses, a poultry farm, a slaughterhouse and new livestock farms will be built in Zhezkazgan region. Implementation of social projects will help saturate the regional food market with local meat and vegetable products, World of NAN reports, citing the press service of the Karaganda Region Akim.

Askar Sanaubarov, Head of the Agriculture Department of the Region, told about new projects in the sphere of agriculture in Zhezkazgan region, the implementation of which is scheduled for the next 5 years, at the online briefing on the platform of the Regional Communication Service.

"In Zhezkazgan two projects will be implemented with creation of 530 jobs. This is the construction of a poultry farm. The design capacity of the enterprise is up to a thousand tons of poultry meat a year. There will also be a greenhouse facility with a capacity of 60,000 tonnes of vegetables a year," Askar Sanaubarov said.

In neighboring Satpayev, a greenhouse with a vegetable storage facility for 660 tonnes of vegetables and a slaughterhouse for poultry meat processing will be built. It is planned that the facility will process up to 5,000 tons of meat per year. A total of 55 new jobs will be created.

"Three social projects in livestock farming will be implemented in Ulytau district. This will create 23 jobs. Two cattle-breeding and one fodder base will be established in the district," Askar Sanaubarov added.
