Tokayev: increase the volume of agricultural production by two times

Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov informed Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the main indicators of Kazakhstan's agricultural sector for 10 months of the current year, World of NAN reports with reference to Akorda.

The President was told about the results of the harvesting campaign, the difficult working conditions of domestic agrarians this year and the support measures taken by the government.

Following the results of the meeting, the President set specific tasks for the Minister to bring the industry to a new milestone of development within 5 years, including a 2-fold increase in gross agricultural output.

For this purpose it is necessary to carry out structural and institutional reforms in the industry, aimed at improving the system of state support, providing agrarians with preferential financing and subsidies, diversification of sown areas and development of agricultural science.
