Top largest agricultural companies in Kazakhstan by the end of 2023

The World of NAN editorial analyst has updated the rating of the largest companies in agriculture by tax payments.

The top 20 includes 17 companies, whose main activity is designated as "Cultivation of cereals and leguminous crops, including seed production" (last year there were 17).

The remaining three companies are engaged in growing vegetables, rice and mixed agriculture. In first place was Green Land Alatau LLP, which ranked 12th in the overall top 30, with total tax contributions of ₸2.94 billion.

Last year's top 3 (Zhuravlevka-1, Agrofirma Rodina and Zenchenko & K) were next in the ranking. All of them recorded an increase in tax payments.

Green Land Alatau (+857%) and Belgorodskoye LLP (+214%) increased their tax payments the most in 2023. The best progress in the ranking was shown by K. Marx LLP, which moved up 8 ranks, increasing its tax payments by 86% y/y. This year there were 7 new companies in the top 20 at once;

In total, tax payments of the top 20 agricultural companies increased by 34%, from ₸13.7 billion to ₸18.4 billion.

This ranking was compiled by World of NAN editorial team based on tax assessments for 2023 according to adata.kz. Companies were selected according to the main classification of economic activities (General Classifier of Economic Activities). That is, the rating did not include companies whose additional official activities are related to food production or agriculture, and whose main activities are related, for example, to retail trade.
