Greenhouse regulations approved in Kazakhstan

The standard came into force on May 1, 2023. It was developed by the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology to implement the order of the Minister of Agriculture on subsidizing greenhouses, World of NAN reports with reference to the Ministry of Trade.

In order for farmers to receive subsidies, the greenhouse will have to meet a standard that establishes general requirements for farmer greenhouses, the construction and cover material of greenhouses, as well as the equipment of greenhouse complexes.

" The greenhouse complex must include: autonomous heat sources (if necessary), thermal accumulator, heating system and climate control. As well as a system of automatic air additional humidification, supplementary lighting, carbon dioxide production, shutters, soil-free technology of growing on artificial substrate (in the absence of soil for growing). In addition, an automatic system of low-volume cultivation (drip irrigation, nutrient solution preparation units, water treatment) is needed," - stated in the passport.

According to Karlygash Nurikhanova, the Head of the Department of Crop Production Development of the Ministry of Agriculture, the earliest introduction of the standard is necessary for further modification into the terms of the program of financing of greenhouse farms.
