Three agro-industrial projects to be launched in Turkestan in 2022

Seven investment projects worth 44.6 billion tenge will be carried out within the framework of the creation of a food belt around Turkestan. Including a 25 billion tenge greenhouse will be launched, reports World of NAN referring to LS.

According to the regional akimat, the projects will be realized in 2021-2023. In particular, a greenhouse on 50 hectares will work in the region in 2023. And in 2022 three agro-industrial projects for 15,8 billion tenge are expected to be launched. A feeding complex for 10 thousand heads may be built and opened in the region. The initiator of this project will cost 7,4 billion tenge. It is also planned to introduce the sprinkling technology on 829 hectares under cultivation of fodder crops for 1.5 billion tenge. Next year a dairy farm for 1.2 thousand heads will be created. Investments will amount to 6.9 billion tenge.

This year we may launch three projects worth over 3 billion tenge. So, it is planned to introduce drum irrigation technology on 284,7 ha for growing of fodder crops. The project will cost 227.7 million tenge. In addition, sprinkling technology will be introduced on 170 hectares. The cost - 125 million tenge.

In addition, will grow plums on 300 hectares. Investments - 3.5 billion tenge. Already planted 200 thousand seedlings of several varieties. It is expected that on the third year of planting the seedlings will start yielding 1-2 tons from 1 hectare. In five to six years the project will reach its full capacity. And then from one hectare 25-30 tons will be harvested.

The akimat also noted that two projects worth 2.7 billion tenge were implemented as part of the effort to create a food belt. The first one is introduction of sprinkling machines for irrigation of fodder crops on 733 ha and creation of machine-tractor fleet. The launch of this project cost the initiator 1.7 billion tenge. Another similar project was introduced on 462 hectares for 1 billion tenge.

Earlier it was reported that the city will form a food belt on an area of 11 thousand hectares and build water facilities to eliminate the shortage of irrigation water.
