A center of consulting service for milk producers is planned to be created on the basis of scientific and production center "Baiserke-Agro" in Almaty region, World of NAN reports referring to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The project will help address the lack of qualified personnel in Kazakhstan's dairy industry. Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeyev discussed with Uwe Weddige, head of the Kazakh-German KFM project, the issues of improving the competence of enterprises in the field of sustainable milk production.
Recall, on December 6, 2019, during the official visit of the Head of State in Berlin, a Joint Statement of Intent on the implementation of the cooperative project was signed between the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of the Federal Republic of Germany. In October 2023, the 1st phase of the KFM project in Kazakhstan will be completed.
A team of international and domestic experts all this time consults and improves the skills of technical and managerial staff of 16 pilot farms of Akmola, Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions. Practical work is aimed at increasing cow productivity, fodder analysis, drawing up and adhering to the protocol of work on the farm, etc.
The results of the work showed significant potential for growth and identified a number of pressing issues which require further work both with local enterprises and systemic changes in the industry.
Transition of dairy Project implementation to the 2nd phase will allow to consolidate achieved results, expand the boundaries of support to farmers with coverage of northern and southeastern regions of the republic, prepare qualified experts.
