Turkey is interested in supplies of Kazakhstani wheat and lentils

Managing Director of Prodcorporation Rustam Zhanataev held talks with Turkish companies on the export of Kazakh agricultural products, reports World of NAN with reference to the JSC.

Thus, one of the leading Turkish companies expressed interest in increasing supplies of lentils from Kazakhstan. Armada Gıda already has extensive experience with Kazakhstan, including the purchase of lentils from Kostanay. The shipment of agricultural products to Turkey will be made by consolidating export shipments of lentils, which will provide Kazakh farmers with access to international markets.

As a result of negotiations with Tiryaki Holding, a memorandum was signed on the supply of 250 thousand tonnes of wheat: the company is implementing a project on deep processing of grain in Astana.

Negotiations were also held with Ahmet Guldal, General Director of the Turkish Grain Board (TMO). TMO is the key state agency of Turkey, regulating the grain market and co-operation with it opens new prospects for export of Kazakhstani products. Each year, the Grain Board purchases an average of 10 million tonnes of grain crops, mostly wheat.
