Turkish holding Alarko is ready to build 500 hectares of greenhouses in Kazakhstan. In the next 5 years, the company will invest about 650 million dollars in agriculture in Kazakhstan, reports World of NAN with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and Alarko Holding signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which will give impetus to the implementation of projects. According to the document, the Turkish company will start construction of greenhouse complexes in Kazakhstan by the end of 2023.
The first projects will be completed in the summer of 2024.
It is assumed that new greenhouses may be built in the southern regions of Kazakhstan, where representatives of Alarko will be traveling soon to choose the optimal location for the future project. Once specific land plots are identified, as well as project parameters, a more detailed Roadmap with specific timelines and stages of implementation will be drawn up.
