A new type of horses has been bred in the Abai region

A new breed of Kazakh Mugalzhar horse breed called "Irtysh" has been introduced in the village of Zhetizhar in Beskaragai district, World of NAN reports with reference to the Akimat of the region.

The history of creating a new type of horses began back in 1968, when a programme of hybridisation of Kazakh horses was launched. Since then, several generations of scientists have devoted their efforts to the development and improvement of the breed, and now their labours have been crowned with success.

Horses have passed selection and were presented to scientists, experts and heads of peasant farms of the district. A solemn sampling ceremony was also held.

It should be noted that this is the second case when a successful selection of a new type of horses was carried out on the territory of Beskaragai district. Last year in the peasant farm "Mukinov" a type of Kazakh horse called "Beskaragai" was produced and protected.
