Akmola region plans to return 400 thousand hectares of agricultural land to state ownership

In 2022, 302 thousand hectares of unused land will be returned to state ownership in Akmola region. This year, 400 thousand hectares are planned to be returned, of which 98.6 thousand hectares have been returned, World of NAN reports with reference to inform.kz.

In the region, the deficit of pasture lands for grazing of livestock of private farmsteads, which is noted in 420 settlements of the region on the area of 437.8 thousand hectares, remains a pressing issue.

"In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, since 2022 in the territory of Akmola region measures on the return of farmland that is not in use and issued in violation of the land legislation are carried out. In 2022, 302 thousand hectares of unused lands were returned to state ownership. This year the plan for return and involvement is 400 thousand hectares, of which 98.6 thousand hectares of unused agricultural land was returned," - noted in the Akimat.

Thus, 42.5 thousand hectares were returned by voluntary renunciation, 19.9 thousand hectares - by expiration of lease term, 36.2 thousand hectares - by court order. 191.1 thousand hectares were brought into agricultural turnover.
