Almaty region launched a feed mill and is building a fruit and berry cluster

Prime Minister Askar Mamin, during a visit to the Almaty region, inspected the development of the agro-industrial complex and gave a start to the implementation of new investment projects.  Thus, a new feed mill was launched, and construction of the infrastructure of an export fruit and vegetable cluster LLP "FRUIT ART" began in the industrial zone "Bereke" of Ili region, reports World of NAN, citing the press service of the Prime Minister.

The enterprise will include fruit storage with capacity of 15 thousand tons of products with controlled gas environment, freeze drying plant of fruits and berries with processing capacity of 200 tons of raw materials per day, as well as greenhouse complex for year-round cultivation of 1800 tons of strawberries and 900 tons of salad per year on the area of 9 hectares. The total investment in the first phase will amount to 34 billion tenge, the commissioning is scheduled for 2022. Production and processing of products will be based on innovative technologies of EU countries and the United States. It will create 500 permanent and 7,500 seasonal jobs. Implementation of the project will reduce the country's dependence on imports of apples by 5%, berries by 100%. Along with supplies to the domestic market, the production of the enterprise will be exported abroad, including to the European Union countries.

In Kapshagay the Head of the Government inspected the course of implementation of the construction project of fishery complex LLP "Ospanova Development" for growing saltwater fish. The designed capacity - up to 10 tons of fish a year. The cost of the project is 67,3 billion tg, term of realization of the first stage - 2022.

During the trip, A.Mamin gave a start to the feed mill "SSA Feed Mills" production capacity of 60 tons of feed per year. The cost of the project is 4.7 billion tenge. 55% of production will go to the domestic market, 45% - exported abroad.
