Kyrgyzstan wants to establish pollination of fields by bees

The neighboring country understands the need to develop beekeeping and its benefits for crop production, so 1 million soms is being allocated for the development of the industry, reports World of NAN on vb.kg.

In the United States, Canada and Europe, bee pollination is the main factor in crop yields. Scientists even provide figures on percentage by which bee pollination increases crop yields.

The distribution of figures is kept within the same limits: 25-30% - rapeseed; up to 40% - sunflower and buckwheat; 75% - clover; 50% - alfalfa; 60% - melons, fruit crops; up to 60% - mustard.

All over the world, beekeepers make money from pollination. Bee rent is paid from $50 to $70 per bee family. In the United States and Canada, pollination is the main business of beekeepers. Kyrgyz beekeepers who managed to work in the United States told about it. Pollination ranks first in terms of income, then honey and processed products.

In Kyrgyzstan, the situation with bee pollination is sometimes paradoxical. It happens that instead of paying beekeepers for pollination of their fields, farmers demand money or products from the beekeepers themselves for staying in the fields. Therefore, the authorities want to make farmers aware of the benefits of bee pollination.
