State support for the dairy industry has doubled in Russia

Last year, the total amount of state support for dairy farming in Russia almost doubled to 61 billion rubles, reports World of NAN.

In particular, last year investment loans for the construction and modernization of facilities for the production of therapeutic food became available to producers, and the term of credit for enterprises engaged in the production of starter products was increased to 12 years. They are also provided with "capex" (compensation for capital expenditures). In particular, they amount to 70 percent for the purchase and commissioning of equipment for labeling dairy products.

The introduction of compensation for half of the costs of purchasing machinery and equipment for farms with more than a thousand head of cattle is also under consideration. Plus for milk processors there will be a mechanism of preferential leasing for the purchase of equipment, including for labeling, and exporters will be compensated for all costs of transportation of dairy products.

The development of the dairy industry was stimulated by subsidies. Now, due to stable production indicators, the course of agro-industrial complex development has shifted from stimulating production to preserving and strengthening its efficiency. In other words, Russia will strengthen its influence on export markets.
