Milk processing increased to 53% in North Kazakhstan region

Dairy plant of North-Kazakhstan region carried out a large modernization worth 4.8 billion tenge and expanded its production, reports World of NAN referring to the head of the region.

Kumar Aksakalov, Akim of the North Kazakhstan region, wrote in his Facebook about the region's largest dairy plant and the growth of milk production.

"The Maslodel dairy plant today launched new lines for the production of milk, sour cream and sour-milk products. The capacity of the enterprise has increased from 87 to 119 thousand tons per year. The factory was equipped with modern Swedish Tetra Pak equipment, which will allow producing 15 new types of dairy products. In addition, 85 new jobs were created, "- the akim wrote in his post.

In northern region branch of milk processing is developing very actively. Only last year the region produced about 600 thousand tons of milk. In five years, the contribution of milk processing has increased from 34% to 53% or from 180 thousand to 319 thousand tons.

"Our dairy factories are regularly supplied with a raw feed. Twelve dairy farms have already opened. Another 16 milkshakes are under construction, 10 will be launched by the end of the year," Kumar Aksakalov added.

Dairy production gives the villagers a permanent and year-round job. In 5 years, more than 400 permanent jobs have been created in the region's dairy industry. Also, more than 500 million tg of taxes are paid to the budget annually.
