A five-year concept for the development of the agro-industrial complex was presented in Turkestan

Priority attention is given to the development of six major areas in agriculture. It is planned to increase gross output and labor productivity by two times by 2027, the volume of private investment - six times, exports of processed agricultural products - 2.3 times, reports World of NAN.

The regional Akim D. Satybaldy noted that the project will give impetus to the development of the cooperative movement in the villages. Selected six areas of development - crop diversification, development of greenhouses, intensive horticulture, increasing the burden of storage of horticultural products. Also the development of the cotton cluster, livestock, processing industry and the launch of dynamic investment projects.

Thirty-seven indicators of development have been approved for 2023. In particular, to bring the area under crops up to 860 thousand hectares, to extend the sowing area up to 860 thousand hectares and the lands underthe project for obtaining several crops from one area - up to 9303 hectares.

In addition, it is planned to build greenhouses on 93 hectares, to increase area with implementation of water-saving technologies to 39,2 thousand hectares, intensive orchards - on 665 hectares, with vineyards - on 120 hectares.

Storage capacity of products will be additionally increased by 29,3 thousand tons and 1346 units of agricultural machinery will be purchased. According to the plan, there will be enterprises to process 40 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables per year, 17 thousand tons of meat products, 37 thousand tons of dairy products.

Thirteen fattening sites, four dairy farms for 200 heads will be opened. Plans also include launching four large poultry farms and other family poultry farms.

According to the press service of the akim, this year the region will launch four textile and garment enterprises and six wool and leather processing enterprises. As a result, the fixed capital of agriculture is expected to receive 75.2 billion tenge, food industry - 11 billion private investment, and the volume of gross output will reach 1 trillion 127 billion tenge.
