Meat has not been inspected for years in Zhetysu region

Veterinary laboratories in the region were not provided with the necessary equipment and chemical reagents and issued formal acts of expertise without conducting appropriate laboratory tests, World of NAN reports with reference to the prosecutor's office.

As a result, over 8 thousand acts of veterinary and sanitary expertise were illegally issued by the laboratories over the last three years. Moreover, the laboratories did not comply with the norms of sanitary requirements.

According to the act of supervision of the environmental prosecutor's office, seven veterinary laboratories were brought to administrative responsibility for a total amount of more than 2.5 million tenge.

The activities of five laboratories were temporarily suspended until the identified violations are eliminated. Officials of the authorised body were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
