Veterinary inspector took bribes in Petropavlovsk

The Petropavlovsk city court sentenced a veterinary inspector for taking bribes, the penalty - a fine of thirty-five times the amount of the bribe, which amounts to 5 million 200 thousand tenge, the World of NAN reports citing the Anti-Corruption Service.

From February to March 2023, using his official position, Busurmanov J.U. systematically received bribes from entrepreneurs engaged in the wholesale purchase and retail sale of meat products at the city markets "Privokzalny" and "Dariya" without the relevant supporting veterinary documents.

"The activities of the convicted became possible due to the lack of proper control and acquiescence on the part of the responsible persons of the territorial inspection," - noted in the anti-corruption agency.

In order to implement the norms of the legislation on the responsibility of the first managers for corruption of subordinates, by decision of the Chairman of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee the head of the Petropavlovsk City Territorial Inspectorate Akpan Kusainov was brought to disciplinary responsibility in the form of a severe reprimand.
