Opportunities for Italian agricultural machinery in Kazakhstan

Italian manufacturers of agricultural machinery met with potential partners in Kazakhstan. The guests presented their companies and equipment and held bilateral B2B meetings, World of NAN reports.

A total of nine agricultural machinery manufacturers from Italy participated, namely CaBa Industrie Srl, Carraro Spa- Agritalia Division; Carrarospray by O.C.L.L. Srl; Dallai Ernesto Srl; Euromacchine Srl; Falc Srl; Irriland Srl; Rovatti A. & Figli Pompe Spa; and ADR Spa remotely.

"A delegation of Italian companies came to Kazakhstan to promote their technological solutions for open field crops, but especially for fruits and vegetables, as well as machinery for the irrigation sector. The latter plays a strategic role for the country given the deficit of precipitation," said Fabio Ricci, Deputy Director General of the National Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers FEDERUNACOMA.

It is worth noting that Italian agricultural machinery is in great demand worldwide. Last year, the value of Italian exports of tractors and agricultural machinery amounted to 6.4 billion euros. The main purchasing countries are the United States, Germany, France, Poland, Belgium, Russia and Turkey.

"For the first time Italian institutions have organized an initiative to promote these products in Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Industry Association Federunacoma. Italy is one of the largest producers of agricultural machinery in the world, Kazakhstan has great potential in the agro-industrial sector and therefore it is assumed that there are premises for cooperation between the two countries," added Martino Castellani - Director of the Trade Exchange Development Division of the Italian Embassy in Kazakhstan (ICE Almaty).

Italian machines are positioned in a high-end segment, in terms of quality, and at the same time Italian companies can offer after-sales services. Italian manufacturers are aware of the high level of competition in Kazakhstan, but believe that there are still opportunities for a greater presence of the Italian industry, due to the quality of their products.

The field seminar was organized by the Trade Exchange Development Department of the Embassy of Italy ICE/ITA ALMATY together with the Embassy of Italy in the Republic of Kazakhstan and in cooperation with the Association Federunacoma.
