The robotic dairy farm continues to expand in Koksu district. The Akim of Zhetisu region B. Isabayev became acquainted with the work of the unique enterprise, World of NAN reports referring to the press service of the Akimat.
As the head of the region was told, the second stage of the 200 cattle farm was equipped with two milking robots made in Sweden. The so-called technology of "voluntary milking" is introduced. This system allows not only to preserve the quality of milk, but also the health of the animals.
There are 1200 cattle on the farm. In general, the daily gross yield is 10 tons or an average of 28 kg from each forage cow.
According to enterprise director Rakhim Karimov, thanks to modern technology, all sanitary norms are observed during milking, as the robot consistently performs all the functions put into it, without missing a single one.
"Of course, using the milking robot, we do not increase the milk productivity of the cow, but we preserve the quality of milk," Karimov says.
In the future, the farmer plans to start producing melatonin or "night" milk. It is produced naturally by milking cows between 2pm and 4am, while turning on soft light which calms the animals. Consumption of milk obtained in this way helps to fight insomnia. A cup of "night" milk helps not only to fall asleep easily, but also to stay awake the next day without the use of artificial additives.
