Seed growers of Kazakhstan will be able to buy foreign equipment at a favorable price

Kazakhstan seed production companies will be able to buy equipment from "Wintersteiger AG", the world's largest manufacturer of breeding equipment, on favorable terms. It became possible due to Memorandum of Cooperation, reports World of NAN.

According to press-service of Ministry of Agriculture the cooperation agreement was signed by vice-minister of agriculture of Kazakhstan Abulkhair Tamabek and head of the company Dr. Florestan von Boxberg. The parties also discussed issues of possible cooperation in training specialists, consultations in the field of seed production.

It is noted that Kazakhstan delegation visited "Wintersteiger" plant in Austria within the framework of realization of instruction of Head of State on development of seed production. The range of production of the company includes selection and seed-growing combine harvesters, forage harvesters, seed drills, as well as software for the automation of the breeding process. "Wintersteiger AG works closely with leading research institutes and laboratories in 130 countries worldwide.

"Cooperation with such companies will be an important mechanism to improve the competitiveness of seed enterprises of Kazakhstan, will create a basis for the development of close commercial ties, increase the supply and use of high quality selection and seed production equipment in the country", - said in the Ministry of Agriculture.
