The government was offered to buy out three million tons of ungraded grain

Majilis deputy Serik Yegizbayev addressed the head of the government with a request. He believes that the 2024 sowing season is under threat and the government should take unconventional decisions, World of NAN reports.

In particular, it was proposed to create an anti-crisis roadmap to support agrarians.

"It should include the following measures. To carry out state purchases of at least 3 million tons of off-grade grain. Provide for the possibility of maximizing the use of off-grade grain in the domestic market by selling it to poultry farmers, livestock breeders and distilleries," the deputy said.

He also proposed to solve the issue of subsidizing transportation costs of grain delivery within the country, including to the seaport of Aktau and Khorgos. Provide for the possibility of commodity exchange of off-grade grain on forward purchase of Prodkorporatsiya. To repay all existing debts on subsidies to agrarians by the end of this year.

Recall, Prodkorporatsiya planned to purchase 350 thousand tons of off-grade grain. However, farmers still have 5 million tons in storage. According to rough calculations, the agrarians have about 300 billion tenge suspended. Therefore, next year's sowing season is under threat.
