The output of livestock products increased in the country

Gross output of livestock products increased by 1.6% over the year. At the same time, retail prices for meat in the country increased by 11% for the year, reports World of NAN with reference to monitoring agency Energyprom.

In January this year, the gross output of livestock products amounted to 186.1 billion tg. In the regional context, the largest output traditionally came from Almaty region: 30.1 billion tenge - 2.6% more in real terms than a year earlier. Turkestan and Akmola regions were also in the top three.

In January-December 2021 gross output of livestock products amounted to 3.1 trillion tg - 3.6% more in real terms than a year earlier.

Thus, in January this year the production of eggs increased markedly - immediately by 18.4% for the year to 369.7 million eggs. The livestock and poultry were slaughtered or sold for slaughter in 140.3 thousand tons (plus 0.1%), 83 thousand tons - slaughter weight (plus 0.7%). Milk production was 259.3 thousand tons - 1.5% more than a year before. Production of cattle hides also increased by 0.2% for the year, to 217 thousand pieces. Only the production of small cattle hides decreased - by 0.4%, to 424.6 thousand pieces.

At retail outlets across Kazakhstan, meat and poultry prices rose by 11.3% in January. This includes a 15.4% increase in price for mutton, 11.8% for horse meat, 10.2% for pork and 8.3% for beef.
