The ban on wheat imports has been extended until October

The corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, World of NAN reports with reference to the agency.

Thus, a ban on the import of wheat, including from the EAEU countries by road, water and rail, except for deliveries by rail to poultry and flour mills.

The temporary ban is effective from April 12, 2024 for a period of 6 months. Imported wheat is not subject to sale on domestic and foreign markets.

The ban does not apply to transit transportation of wheat through the territory of Kazakhstan by rail.
