174 akims misrepresented statistics on land

The prosecutor's office of Turkestan region prosecuted all 174 rural akims under Article 498 of the Code of Administrative Offences (misstatement and distortion of statistics) for 5 million tenge, the World of NAN reports referring to the department.

In order to "improve" the indicators of milk and meat production in the village, the akims intentionally falsified statistical reports of the private sector in the number of animals and peasant farms. Subsequently, the reports were used by district akimats when forming and approving pasture management plans.

As of today, prosecutors have brought these statistics into accordance, and the real need for common pastures in the region was reduced by 3 times, i.e. from 2.1 million hectares to 652 thousand hectares. In addition, according to the acts of prosecutors, the akimats of the region began work on the revision of all previously approved similar plans.
