Turkish investors will invest $98.4 million in fruit processing in the south

Turkish investors will implement a fruit production and processing project in Zhambyl region, World of NAN reports referring to the regional Akimat.

The region's Akim, N. Nurzhigitov, held a meeting with the Head of the Turkish company, Osman Aslanali, via video conferencing.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the implementation of a project for the development of intensive horticulture and processing of fruit and berry products in the region.

The project involves the planting of 1100 hectares of orchards and the construction of a processing plant. It will be realized in several stages until 2024.

The investors plan to sell the products produced in the region on the domestic market and abroad. The cost of the project is 98.4 million dollars. It will create 1,000 jobs that will employ local residents.

Osman Aslanali said the company is the largest producer of fruit and vegetable concentrates in Turkey.

"The country is taking all necessary measures to improve the investment climate. Foreign investors will be fully supported", - concluded the Head of the region.
