Kazakhstan's livestock breeders during a trip to Australia met with the management of Elders, one of the largest agricultural producers in the country, World of NAN reports citing the government.
Elders sells about 1.3-1.7 million cattle (about 12% of all sales turnover in Australia) and 10 million sheep a year (about 20% of the market).
The company has already operated in Kazakhstan. In Kostanai region it launched two production facilities: Sever-Agro and Terra. The company built the whole cycle there: it organized rainfed land, built fattening grounds and brought in cattle.
"I believe that in your country everything can be the way you want it to be. You have land, investment opportunities, you are located in the center, you can feed many countries. The main thing is to establish trade," said Elders agribusiness manager and consultant Bruce Creek.
Terra Group of Companies is known in Kazakhstan for its largest fattening facility for 20,000 cattle. The company's management adopted the Australian experience 12 years ago.
"There are prospects for further growth, that's why we came to Australia again to adopt new experience, because it is one of the largest exporters of beef in the world. We plan to expand and increase efficiency", - shared partner of Terra Group of Companies Kaiyrzhan Nauryzgaliyev.
