Deputies see no sense in the census in agriculture

Majilis deputy Anas Bakkozhayev criticized the quality of the census in the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, World of NAN reports.

Recall that in 2025 in Kazakhstan there will be a large-scale agricultural census, which will count all the number of livestock, arable land, peasant farms, and others.

"So far you have conducted two censuses related to agriculture. Agriculture has gained nothing from their results. How will you conduct the 2025 census? What strategic decisions will be taken based on the results of this census? - wondered the MP.

The head of the Bureau of National Statistics, Maksat Turlybayev, could not answer the question clearly, but only reported on readiness.

But we know very well that one of the main problems in agriculture remains biased statistics. Akims eagerly report on annual growth and the government simply does not see the real picture. And if the statistics is excellent, there is simply no sense in development in the industry. Thus, some areas do not receive subsidies or other state support.
