The share of loans in agriculture increased by 12%

According to the National Bank, as of April 1, 2023 the amount of loans to agriculture exceeded 397 billion tenge. Compared with the same period of 2022, this figure rose by 12.8% or 45.4 billion tenge, the World of NAN reports referring to LS.

The predominant share in the loan portfolio is loans in the national currency. They account for 395.4 billion tenge, and the rest - in foreign currency, 2.2 billion tenge.

In the regional context, the leader is Almaty, where loans to agriculture amounted to 209.4 billion tenge (+35%). They are followed by Kostanay and Akmola regions - 35.3 billion tenge (+3.2%) and 26.8 billion tenge (-7.5%) correspondingly. 

Also a high proportion of loans falls on NKR - 19.8 billion tenge (-0.05%) and Astana - 13.7 billion tenge (-26.3%).

The smallest volume of loans is in Ulytau region - 659 million tenge, and in Mangistau region - 1.2 billion tenge.
