Kazakhstan is trying to export 9 more types of agricultural products to China

By the end of 2021, 11 more crops exported from Kazakhstan will be included in the register of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, World of NAN reports citing Kapital.kz.

According to the country's Ministry of Agriculture, the register will include wheat bran, soybeans, rapeseed meal, alfalfa hay, barley, wheat flour, corn, wheat and barley meal, flax and others.

"Today, the Ministry of Agriculture is also working on the possibility of signing protocols for exports to China of another nine types of agro-industrial products, including potatoes, beet pulp, safflower, peas, lentils, rapeseed, oat flakes and cereals, oil cake, meal," - added in the department.

The main problem in the export of crop products to China is the need for prior inspection by Chinese certification authorities, which travel to Kazakh enterprises for inspection.

"In addition, if a protocol on phytosanitary requirements is signed for food products imported into China, the Kazakh producer and exporter must undergo appropriate registration in the main customs office of the PRC. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan is working systematically in this direction to agree and remove phytosanitary requirements that will improve the conditions for access of domestic products to the Chinese market, "- explained in the agricultural department.

The Ministry of Agriculture also identified the main requirements for the export of agricultural products. These are compliance with the veterinary requirements of the importing country, the exporting company must be under the control of the state veterinary service, the company must implement Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and product traceability system.
