Farmers complained to the Deputy Prime Minister about difficulties in obtaining soft loans

Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin visited the Kostanay region and met with farmers of the region, World of NAN reports with the reference to the government.

Representatives of the Union of Kazakhstan Farmers voiced the problem of several peasant farms that cannot receive soft loans for spring field work under the Ken Dala 2 program.

“Ken Dala 2” is a new ACC program, under which an additional 300 billion tenge is allocated for spring field work. The program provides a preferential interest rate for borrowers at 5% per annum. For farmers who do not have sufficient collateral, guarantees from the Damu Federal Investment Fund will be provided in the amount of 85% of the loan amount.

Earlier farmers also complained about the inflated requirements of the ACC. It is very difficult for domestic farmers to meet the requirements of the credit corporation.

Serik Zhumangarin instructed the representative of the Agrarian Credit Corporation (ACC) to understand the reasons for this delay and give an answer to the farmers. It is unclear whether the complex system will change as a result of such an order. But if farmers do not use the available funds, then in the future such large amounts of money will not be allocated for field work.
