There are about 200 artificial intelligence-based agricultural startups in the US, reflecting a growing interest in automating agricultural processes, reports World of NAN.
This shift towards autonomy is evident in innovations such as unmanned tractors and autonomous sprayers that improve efficiency. Naturally, it is too early to talk about such innovations in Kazakhstan. However, the future, albeit at a slow pace, will come to our country.
How can artificial intelligence serve? For example, in the West, AI is used in inventory management by analyzing market trends, weather data and sales figures. That is, the computer chooses which products and at what time to sell them most profitably. This allows inventory to be sorted intelligently and margins to be maximized.
AI is not yet widely used in the field. Because general data may differ from farm conditions. We know that every farm is unique and some general recommendations may not work. Therefore, artificial intelligence cannot yet replace the in-depth knowledge of farmers that has been passed down from generation to generation.
However, the production industry continues to evolve along with artificial intelligence. Therefore, in the future, scientists expect the role of AI, which will be based on farmers' knowledge, to grow in agriculture.
