The British company JCB, one of the world's largest manufacturers of construction and agricultural equipment, has announced the beginning of a major recruitment campaign. The company's management is getting ready for the increase of production of the equipment after the long stagnation during the pandemic, reports the World of NAN.
First of all the company is interested in specialists in assembling, welding and operating loaders - excavators, tractors, dump trucks, production of which was forced to stop at factories around the world.
Commenting on the news to the media, chief operating officer Mark Turner said orders for March 2020 stopped overnight when the pandemic crisis began.
"We tried our best to keep our staff in the shops, but some staff units were still affected. It took more than six months before business recovered to the level of production we last saw in March 2020. Now we are preparing to ramp up production and begin hiring employees, offering contracts to a large number of people, including current plant employees," said the head of the company.
The company's analysts forecast further stable development due to the big demand for the agricultural machinery in continental Europe and North America.
It should be mentioned that JCB has been producing agricultural equipment since 1945, since the moment when the founder of the company designed the first trailer for agriculture. Now the company has about 20 plants on four continents.
