The Chinese like the quality of agricultural products from Kazakhstan

Trade Minister Arman Shakkaliyev met with representatives of a number of Chinese companies, with whom he discussed the prospects for increasing foreign trade turnover, World of NAN reports, citing the department.

The first meeting took place with the participation of the leaders of an oil company, which began to develop feed production and for this reason showed interest in exporting feed crops from Kazakhstan. According to a company representative, in the first quarter of 2024, a contract was signed for the supply of Kazakh barley to it, and there is also interest in exporting rapeseed oil from the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“We want our Chinese friends to enter into long-term offtake contracts with us. In addition, today in Kazakhstan priorities are shifting towards deep processing of products within the country. Determine what crops and feed you are interested in, and we will organize the processing of agricultural raw materials, and we will transport the finished products to China,” noted the Minister of Trade.

Representatives of other companies noted the good quality and naturalness of agricultural products from Kazakhstan and announced their intention to import sunflower and rapeseed oil through their network for direct sale to consumers. The company also sees import prospects for Kazakhstani drinks: water, natural juice, and alcohol-containing products. In addition, the supply of fertilizers is interesting.
