The Chinese are ready to invest huge money in cotton

Darhan Satybaldy, akim of Turkestan region, discussed the issue of cotton cultivation and processing with a representative of Peng Sheng(Group) Co., Ltd, reports World of NAN with reference to the region's akimat.

"We prioritize not only cotton cultivation, but also its deep processing. Only with the implementation of works on improvement of seeds and quality of cotton, introduction of new technologies, deep processing of cotton, construction of textile factory will the issues of cotton farming be solved. Therefore, we are ready to collaborate with you," the akim said.

Local authorities are ready to develop a roadmap and introduce obligations of both parties. On infrastructure and solving other problems, the akimat guarantees full support.

"We are ready to introduce drip irrigation technology on 10 thousand hectares of cotton fields. There are also plans for deep processing of cotton, importing equipment to produce cotton oil. We plan to sow cotton seeds of the highest quality and build a cotton plant," assured Song Shijie, the company's representative.
