Contracts worth $300 million were signed by Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

During the business forum, the countries signed commercial documents in which they consolidated their intentions to implement projects in the field of construction and supply of agricultural products, the World of NAN reports with reference to the Ministry of Trade.

At the end of 2023, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan increased by 26% compared to the previous year, reaching $1.6 billion. The share of Kazakh exports is 69%, or $1.1 billion (an increase of 35.8%). Imports - 495.2 million dollars (up 9%).

Recall, Kyrgyzstan is the largest importer of agricultural products from Kazakhstan. Thus, last year the following products were shipped to the union country: meat and fish - 8.7 thousand tons (+17.6%), eggs - 4.3 thousand tons (+4.6%), mayonnaise, ketchup, soy sauce - 5.3 thousand tons (+0.7%). In addition, more than 25 thousand tons of flour and about 8 thousand tons of grain were sold.
