Ministry of Agriculture began preparations for the sowing campaign

The Ministry of Agriculture has begun preparations for the sowing campaign. The Ministry is working on the preparation of seeds, diesel fuel and agricultural equipment, World of NAN reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry informed that at the moment the leadership of the Ministry jointly with the akimats of regions are developing a forecasted structure of sowing areas and monitoring the preparation for the spring field work in 2021.

"According to the data of the local executive bodies, by January 25 of this year in Kazakhstan 2.4 million tons of seeds were stocked, including almost 2 million tons of grain crops seeds, 80 thousand tons of oilseeds, 22.2 thousand tons of forage seeds and 331.7 thousand tons of potatoes. Thus, the level of preparation of seeds has already exceeded 98% "- stated in the message of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RK.

In preparation for sowing work is also the collection and analysis of information on the composition and condition of the fleet of agricultural machinery.

According to the press-service of the Ministry, regional akimats declared that they need 382 thousand tons of diesel fuel for the 2021 sowing campaign. Currently, the Ministry of Agriculture together with the Ministry of Energy is working on a draft schedule of assignment of regions to oil refineries and issues of determining the price of diesel fuel.
