A fraudster cheated a farmer out of 90 mln tenge

The former deputy director of the Aktobe branch of Agrarno-Kredit Korporatsiya JSC has been convicted of fraudulent actions, reports World of NAN with reference to the Financial Monitoring Agency.

During the pre-trial investigation it was found that the head of a peasant farm applied to the branch of the corporation with an application to open a credit line under the program "Sybagha" for the purchase of 277 heads of imported pedigree breeding stock of cattle. The borrower was allocated credit funds in the amount of 90 million tenge.

After that, the defendant through deceit and abuse of trust, misled the head of the peasant farm about the necessity to conclude a contract with LLP, to realize the purchase and delivery of livestock from Russia, in reality having no real capability to perform such actions.

The farm transferred 90 million tenge to the account, but these funds were used by the deputy director of the Aktobe branch of the corporation for personal needs. He was sentenced to five years of imprisonment.
