Today a regular meeting of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. The Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov reported on stabilization of vegetable prices, reports World of NAN with reference to the press service of the Prime Minister.

As the minister noted in his report, the prices of socially important food products have increased by 9.7% since the beginning of the year. Vegetables account for most of the price increase, accounting for 5.9 percentage points in the overall increase.

It was possible to stabilize prices as a result of the saturation of the domestic market with domestic vegetables of fresh harvest. Over the last three weeks the prices were reduced by 0.7 percentage points. Thus, since their peak prices potatoes have fallen in price by 64%, carrots by 54%, onions by 4% and cabbage by 2%. According to given statistics, the largest increase in prices was recorded in Turkestan region - by 11.4%, in Kyzylorda region and Nur-Sultan city - by 11.0%.

The lowest growth of prices was established in Karaganda region - by 8.6%, Almaty city - by 8.9% and Almaty region - by 9.2%.

"Indicators of development of domestic trade show that business has adapted to current conditions and is developing further," - said B. Sultanov.
