Vegetables from stabilization funds will be released to the market in February

This instruction was given by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin at a meeting on stabilizing prices of socially important food products, reports World of NAN with reference to the government.

In parallel, to maximize coverage and saturate the domestic market with vegetables at affordable prices, fairs will be launched in the regions. Taking into account the fact that from the second half of April the population begins to actively consume early vegetables, mainly imported, the Center for Trade Policy Development "QazTrade" is already working on the import of these products from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Thus, the recommended volume of potatoes to meet the needs of Kazakhstan residents is 8.2 thousand tons (April-June), onions - 5 thousand tons (May-June).

In general, the dynamics of price growth for social food products since the beginning of the year amounted to 0.2%. Following the results of last week's price index demonstrates stability.
