Prime Minister instructed to reduce subsidies for imported agricultural machinery

Measures for further development of the machine-building industry have been considered at a meeting of the Government, World of NAN reports with reference to the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the head of the government, at the moment the depreciation of the country's agricultural machinery fleet is about 76%. Last year, domestic enterprises produced more than 15 thousand units of agricultural machinery. However, this is not enough.

"Agrarians need new equipment! Therefore, the production rates need to be increased. For this purpose we have all the necessary tools and opportunities," - Prime Minister said.

Now a five-year Comprehensive Plan for the development of machine building is being drafted. Its implementation will allow for an increase in production by 2 times, to increase exports by almost 3 times, investments in fixed assets - by 1.5 times, as well as to double labor productivity.

In conclusion, the head of the Government instructed as soon as possible to agree on a comprehensive plan for the development of mechanical engineering, as well as to work out the issue of reducing the rate of investment subsidies from 25% to 15% for imported agricultural machinery, analogues of which are produced in Kazakhstan.
