A poultry farm with a capacity of 200 million eggs per year will appear

It is planned to build an egg production plant with a capacity of 200 million eggs per year in Turkestan region, World of NAN reports with reference to the Akimat of the region.

For this purpose, a 100-hectare plot of land in Baidibek District is being considered and formalised. Construction of the plant on “ERNUR” LLP's own investments will start this year. The total investment cost of the project is 8 billion tenge.

At present, equipment worth 1.5 billion tenge from Turkey has already been purchased. With the help of this equipment it is possible to produce 20 thousand kg of feed per hour. And the poultry farm is designed for 600 000 heads. It will produce 200m eggs a year, which will primarily cover the domestic market.

This is a very controversial project, as Kazakhstan today already produces 102% of the population's demand for eggs, and producers continue to scale up. If the project is launched, it is possible that supply will exceed demand. Then poultry farms will have to look for export destinations for their products.
