Deere & Company management visited Eurasia Group AG service center

In July the world's largest modern John Deere service outlet was opened in Kokshetau. The grand project attracted attention from the very start. The presentation of the service center was also attended by the President of the country. On September 29th the service center of Eurasia Group AG received other distinguished guests: the delegation headed by the President of Deere & Company, Mark von Pentz. During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the work of the center and discussed the issues of digitalization and automation of agriculture with the representatives of the state authorities, reports World of NAN.

The arrival of Deere & Company representatives was an important event for the region, as well as for the entire agricultural industry of Kazakhstan. The last time such a high-level delegation visited Kazakhstan was more than 10 years ago.

The Deere & Company delegation in Kazakhstan was headed by President of Agricultural Machinery Division Mr. Mark von Pentz, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Agricultural Machinery Mr. Alejandro Sayago, Director of International Trade Financing of John Deere Financial Mr. Timo Zacharias, CIS Director Mr. Alexei Kuznetsov and Country Manager for Central Asia Mr. Nikolay Orlenko. 

Welcoming the guests of honor, the CEO of Eurasia Group Kazakhstan Sergey Glokke told the guests about the company, the new mission, and the achievements of more than 20 years of work in the market of Kazakhstan.

"More than 3.6 million hectares of land are sown and more than 6.5 million hectares of land are harvested using John Deere machinery. The role of this manufacturer in the development of agriculture is huge - thanks to this equipment, we can offer farmers a high level of mechanization, productivity and economy. Some people say that John Deere is only for large farmers. That's not true. We have solutions, which prove that John Deere is available to everyone," said S. Glokke.

According to the CEO of Eurasia Group Kazakhstan, one of the priority areas for the company is digitalization. Over the years the company has digitized more than 2.4 million hectares. The presentation following the CEO's speech was devoted to the whole range of John Deere precision farming products, and the savings and development opportunities for the farmer using these solutions.

The new service center provides delivery and post-sales service of agricultural equipment, and implements and develops digitalization of agriculture. Within the framework of the visit the guests got acquainted with the work of the service center of Eurasia Group AG, met with the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Yerbol Karashukeyev, the Akim of Akmola region Yermek Marzhikpayev. The delegation was also met by representatives of the U.S. Embassy and strategic customers of John Deere in Akmola Region.

A tour of the building was given to foreign guests, the Minister and the Akim of the region. Of particular interest was the center of agro-management and digitalization, where you can see the work and the current state of the machinery in the fields in real time.

At a joint meeting of the state authorities representatives, Deere & Company delegation and the management of Eurasia Group AG the issues of digitization and automation of agriculture, the use of the latest technologies for the industry development, as well as educational programs for the agrarians and young professionals were discussed.

The program was concluded by the youngest guests of the event - children from John Deere & Eurasia Junior Club, who recited poems about agriculture in English and presented the participants of the meeting with their own hand-drawn pictures on the theme "We Feed the World".
