The 15th International Specialized Exhibition of Agriculture AgriTek / FarmTek Astana 2020 is held from March 11 to 13 in Nur-Sultan, where the best specimens of modern equipment and technologies for livestock, poultry and crop production are being presented.
Visitors to the exhibition can learn about the highly efficient and economical agricultural machinery specimens, innovative equipment for monitoring weather in the fields, irrigation and fertilizing the soil, as well as the most fruitful seeds, plant protection products and other technological solutions.
“We are holding the AgriTek / FarmTek exhibition for the fifteenth time. We made every effort to make it large-scale. I think we have accomplished it. This year's exhibition was the largest in its history. It is attended by over 200 exhibitors from 18 countries, who present everything necessary for agriculture: machinery, equipment, seeds, fertilizers, highly productive livestock, veterinary samples etc.”, says a representative of the exhibition organizer TNT Productions, Inc. Gennady Dyakin.
According to him, the majority of exhibitors are from Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Germany and the United States.
“Unfortunately, for obvious reasons, many representatives from China could not come. We signed contracts with 21 Chinese companies, and only one company was able to find a representative in Nur-Sultan, the rest did not come. There were also problems with Italian companies, but, nevertheless, the exhibition site is completely filled, all the pavilions of the exhibition center are occupied”, continued Gennady Dyakin.
He also spoke more about the objectives of the event.
“We invite exhibitors to participate - companies that have something to offer for agriculture – they either produce or sell. We also invite farmers interested in these products to the exhibition. They usually come to sign supply contracts for what they need. That is, our task is to bring manufacturers and consumers together”, he concluded.
According to many exhibitors of AgriTek / FarmTek 2020, the exhibition has become a truly effective platform for establishing contact between all participants in the agricultural industry. Here, market players can exchange views on the current situation in the industry, discuss new technological solutions, and negotiate business contracts.
“From the exhibition, we expect new customers, promotion of our brand in Kazakhstan. We started the promotion in 2017 and there are already good results. We plan to continue in the same vein and keep on supplying Kazakhstan agricultural producers with our equipment”, stated one of the exhibitors, presenting the products of a large Russian plant for the production of agricultural machinery.
The official guests of the event were Shaimerden Akhmetov, Acting Director of the Investment Policy Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and William Moser, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“We all understand perfectly well that without technical equipment and modernization of the machinery of the tractor fleet we cannot talk about the development of agriculture. The Ministry of Agriculture takes all necessary measures in this direction: preferential leasing, investment subsidies and other support measures, but this may not be enough. However, such events are one of very effective tools for updating and modernizing agriculture. It is one thing to watch tractors and combines on television, but it is another thing to see everything live, to compare and choose something suitable for yourself. The AgriTek / FarmTek exhibition is the bridge between manufacturers of equipment and farmers”, stated Shaimerden Akhmetov.
“I came to the exhibition to ensure the further development of mutual partnership between business circles of Kazakhstan and the USA. The government creates the necessary conditions for the development of agriculture, but we know that, it is the hard work of farmers, which creates economic growth. Agriculture is a promising industry. American companies can play a big role in developing Kazakhstan’s potential in this area. The US companies represented at this exhibition have technologies that can increase the efficiency of production, storage, collection and processing of agricultural products, as well as irrigation and other technologies that can help Kazakhstan become a leading food supplier in the region”, stated William Moser.
It should be noted that the AgriTek / FarmTek Astana 2020 exhibition received official support from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Nur-Sultan, KazAgro NMH JSC, the Kazakhstan Farmers Union, the Kazakhstan Poultry Union, the Kazakhstan Field Union and the Organic Agriculture Association. The official partner of the event is KazAgroFinance JSC.
