Experienced farmers have more chances to get agricultural land

In order to ensure equal and transparent access to participation in the competition for the use of returned land, the Ministry of Agriculture has developed draft amendments to the rules of organization and conduct of the competition for the allocation of agricultural land, World of NAN reports with reference to the government.

The main novelty of this document is to hold a competition for the provision of agricultural land separately for beginners and separately for existing entrepreneurs according to the criteria established for each category.

"The new version of the rules excludes the assignment of points on the projected volume of investment, and introduces new, more objective criteria, such as work experience in the agricultural industry, diploma of a specialist in agriculture, residence in rural areas, consideration of agricultural machinery by capacity and others," the government stressed.

Also, the Committee of Land Resources keeps a register of persons from whom land plots were forcibly seized, which entails restrictions in obtaining them during the next three years. But the farmers who voluntarily returned the lands retain the right to participate in tenders for their use.
