Uzbekistan is one of the main importers of goods of Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex

Kazakhstan is increasing exports of raw materials to Uzbekistan, while Uzbekistan is increasing sales of its own goods, World of NAN reports, citing LS.

Kazakhstan exported $1.9 billion worth of goods to Uzbekistan in January-September 2021, an increase of 32.9% from the same period in 2020. Domestic producers exported $62.9 million worth of wheat and wheat-rye flour, $48.1 million worth of sunflower, safflower and cotton oil, $44.9 million worth of live cattle, $415.9 million worth of wheat and meslin to the neighboring country. Ferrous metals and their byproducts, cellular phones, aluminum, oil products and copper ores were sold as well.

Imports from Uzbekistan rose by 29.3% to $735 million in the reporting period. Thus, Kazakhstan bought vegetables worth $64.6 million, fresh fruit worth $85.2 million and fertilizers worth $15.6 million. The following goods made in Uzbekistan were purchased in large quantities - cars, flat-rolled iron, clothing, refrigeration equipment, building bricks, etc.
