The Ministry of Agriculture has prepared a national project for the development of the agro-industrial complex for 2024-2028 with the telling title "Strong Agro-industrial Complex", World of NAN reports.
The project's goal is very optimistic - to double the volume of gross agricultural output to 17 trillion tenge. And it will increase agricultural exports to $10 billion (4.4 trillion tenge). Are such results possible in the face of growing competition from Russia? Apparently yes, since it is in the plans of the whole ministry.
Overall, the national project will cost the budget 15.7 trillion tenge. Nine trillion from the national budget, almost 2.5 trillion from akimats, and 3.8 trillion tenge of extra-budgetary funds. In 2024, 1.9 trillion tenge will be allocated to the project, and then 3.6-3.8 trillion tenge each year thereafter.
What is really encouraging is the increase in subsidies from 432.9 billion tenge to 882.5 billion tenge from 2024 to 2028. In addition, it is planned to attract extrabudgetary funds in the amount of 3.8 trillion tenge over five years, but it is not yet clear where these funds will come from.
In general, the national plan is not without optimism, and if everything comes true, the country will forget about imports and the constant rise in food prices.
