In Russia export duty on wheat will increase up to 19 thousand tenge

From September 6, Russia will increase the export duty on major grain crops such as wheat, meslin (its mixture with rye), as well as corn and barley, reports World of NAN with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

For wheat and meslin, the duty will rise to 4,007.6 rubles (at an exchange rate of 4,77 - it's 19110 tenge). It should be noted that they always change to the same figure on the same date. For corn, the duty will increase to 1,931.5 rubles (9209 tenge). For barley, the duty will increase for the first time in a long time to 574.8 rubles (2,737 tenge).

It should be noted that such a decision was made contrary to the position of farmers and could be used to maintain the profitability of other participants of the production chain. The new rates will be valid until September 12 inclusive.
