A high-ranking employee of the Ministry of Agriculture is accused of corruption

The Anti-Corruption Service has completed an investigation against the Chairman of the Fisheries Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture, World of NAN reports with reference to Antikor.

The person is suspected of receiving bribes on a systematic basis from representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the period from 2021 to February 2024 for general patronage.

The investigative court has authorized a preventive measure against the suspect in the form of “House arrest” using an “electronic bracelet.” The criminal case was sent to the Interdistrict Criminal Court of Astana for consideration on the merits.

According to the requirements of Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code, other information is not subject to dissemination. In accordance with subparagraph 1 of paragraph 3 of Article 77 of the Constitution and part 1 of Article 19 of the Criminal Procedure Code, everyone is considered innocent until his guilt in committing a criminal offense is established by a court verdict that has entered into legal force.
